The Black Keys

Click hereThe Black Keys have settled legal claims with Pizza Hut and Home Depot over copyright infringement.

The US blues-rock duo sued both companies in June this year, saying their music had been used in TV adverts without their permission. The pizza chain was alleged to have used "significant portions" of their track 'Gold On The Ceiling', while they claimed the DIY chain had used 'Lonely Boy' to sell power tools.

In the original claim, the band said the adverts had made use of slightly-amended 'soundalike' versions of the songs in a "brazen and improper effort to capitalize on plaintiffs' hard-earned success." But both companies strenuously denied the allegations and requested that the band pay their legal fees if they won the case.

However, both claims have been settled out of court, according to BBC News. Lawyers for the band told a federal judge in Los Angeles of the Pizza Hut settlement on Monday (November 26), while the Home Depot agreement was made earlier this month.

Neither company has commented on any settlement. The tracks in question both featured on the duo's breakthrough seventh album, which has sold more than a million copies. Watch the video for 'Lonely Boy' below.

Wild Belle is set to release their debut album Isles on March 12th, 2013 on Columbia Records.

Recorded with electronics wizard Bill Skibbe at Keyclub Recordings in Benton Harbor, Michigan, Isles was written and produced by Chicago based siblings Natalie and Elliot Bergman.

Isles is comprised of eleven songs that showcase Wild Belle's signature blend of, what the Chicago Tribune raves is, 'breezy sounding pop music, drawing on elements of Jamaican rock-steady, U.K. trip-hop and atmospheric balladry.'

The band showcased their distinctive sound with a debut television performance of the groovy album cut 'It's Too Late' on CONAN last night, scroll down to view.

After a handful of stand-out live shows at SXSW, Wild Belle hopped onto some of the year's hottest tours including support slots for Passion Pit, The Temper Trap and Tennis, plus, festival performances at Austin City Limits and Treasure Island Musical Festival. The musical talents of both siblings shine during the band's live performances, with Rolling Stone noting how 'Natalie (breezes) about the stage with relaxed bravado while Elliot (switches) effortlessly between keyboards and sax.creating an organic wall of sound.' The band will continue to tour throughout the end of this year. To kick off their March album release they'll join Toro y Moi for a run of dates starting in late January

'21' has reached the milestone award in under two years. Its lowest sales week was 17,000 in its first week and the highest sales week was 730,000 in February this year.

The last two albums to sell 10 million quicker than Adele '21' were NSync's 'No Strings Attached' in 43 weeks in 2001 and Backstreet Boys 'Millennium' after 39 weeks.

Billboard also report that Adele '21' is the third album this year to be certified Diamond. Linkin Park 'Hybrid Theory' and Usher 'Confessions' also reached the magic number.

Mumford & Sons are working on their third album.

Winston Marshall, the banjo player in the hit folk rock band, has confirmed that their future release is already in production.
The new record's framework is in place and fans can expect to hear tracks from it soon.
"Will we wait years for the next album? F**k, no. You heard it here first. We've just started working on new songs, got a rehearsal studio," Winston explained to NME magazine. "They're bones of songs, but really exciting bones. Sturdy bones."
Mumford & Sons have had huge success in 2012, following the release of their second record Babel. Winston discussed some of the highlights of the year, including performing at the Hollywood Bowl.
"We played some f**king cool places this year - we did a gig in Kentucky, on the oldest working steamboat. The Hollywood Bowl gigs were special. On the first night [of two] we were so over excited we rushed through the first half of the set," Winston remembered. "If Marcus [Mumford, singer] goes really fast, I can't keep up and everyone realises I can't actually play the banjo."
Babel hit stores in September and has thrust the band into the limelight in America, where it sold 600,000 copies in the first week of release
